The stereotypical perceptions of “bootcamps” are normally seen as an extremely physically demanding week away, being trained by former military instructors as if you were in the armed forces. However let’s face it, you sign up to a bootcamp to lose weight or get fit, not to become an infantry soldier!
We at Legends take a more unique approach to our bootcamps.
Weight loss for summer 2012
1. Create a calorie deficit
If you are serious about losing weight, it is important to understand the fundamental rules for weight loss, and this in my opinion is the most basic rule which everyone should know;
‘If you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight’

We all want to have a good set of abs for summer but the six-pack myth of just doing sit ups every morning will not give you the results you desire. A lot of people think that doing the same abdominal exercise will make the fat disappear! This is not the case. Everyone has a six-pack but it just needs to be revealed, this can be achieved if you concentrate on your diet combined with a good abdominal routine.
It’s been recommended that (on average) woman should eat 1250-1750 calories per day for men 1300-1800. This should be broken down as follows, 50% Proteins, 30% Carbohydrates and 20% Fats

Just 30 minutes of Cardio exercise per day can lower blood pressure, reduce LDL cholesterol, reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes (adult onset), reduce the risk of osteoporosis, cancer and heart disease.
